What's the lead time for a ducted installation?
We hold a large amount of stock to ensure lead times are as short as possible, so typically a ducted air conditioning system can be installed within 3 to 4 weeks – with the one caveat being that lead times in summer extend to about 8 to 10 weeks. So be smart and install in the cooler seasons.
Should I repair or replace my old system?
Look, anything mechanical has a lifespan. Servicing and not overworking your system can extend it’s life but ultimately, one day, it’ll be time to get a new one.
Whether you repair or replace your current system comes down to what the likelihood is of it breaking down again soon – and will it just cost you more money to keep repairing it moving forward. If so, we’d recommend replacing the entire system which we can determine when we inspect your system.
Are automation systems worth the upgrade?

Can a ducted system be installed in a two story house?
This answer here is both yes and maybe. There’s no getting around the fact that a ducted air conditioning systems have, well… ducts, and these need to reach the areas they need to cool. In a double story home we can usually run ductwork in the roof with no issues, however if we can’t reach downstairs through cupboards or cavities, then likely the solution is to have ducted air conditioning upstairs and splits systems downstairs.

The most asked
question ever
How much does ducted air conditioning cost?
This is by far the question we get asked the most, so we’re giving it a section all to itself.
You might be unsurprised to hear that this doesn’t have a black and white answer *insert eye roll here*. But there are just too many things to consider when quoting for ducted air conditioning to give one number that fits all – the size of your home, the type and size of the system you select, the difficulty of the installation based on your home – the list goes on.
But we also know a non-answer is almost as disappointing as a wrong answer – and we’re not in the business of disappointing. So let us give you something to walk away with.
Although this price can potentially vary significantly depending on the kind of house you have and how involved the installation process might be for you, a ballpark price that you could expect a ducted air conditioning system to cost is around $12K – $14k based on the average Australian low set brick home.
